To increase safety of you, your passengers and luggage, you can activate in Renault Clio II anti-hijack lockout function. Thanks to that central lock will automatically close when the car reaches certain speed.
This procedure also works in Renault Thalia I and Renault Symbol I.

Renault Clio II anti-hijack lockout – activation procedure
- Put key into ignition and turn it into II position. You can also start the engine.
- Press and hold central locking button on the dashboard.
- After 3-5 seconds you will hear confirmation beep. You can now release the button.
From now on your central locking will close automatically when car reaches 5mph.
To deactivete anti-hijack lockout function repeat the procedure.
Will this also stop the car from auto locking once i have turned the ignition off? usually locks by itself after around 5 minutes.
We didn’t notice such behavior in tested car. Sorry.
