Audi reset service reminder (A2, A3, A4, A6, TT)

After changing oil and filters in your Audi reset service reminder message or indicator. You can do that without diagnostic tools like OBDeleven, VCDS – just with a simple button combination.

Audi reset service reminder procedure

  1. Put key into ignition.
  2. Press and hold trip reset button on the instrument cluster. It’s located on the right side, close to the total distance display.
  3. Turn key to II position. On the LCD screen you should see “SERVICE!” message.
  4. Release the button.
  5. Turn the clock adjustment button on the instrument cluster clockwise. It’s located on the left side, close to the clock and date display. If your car is equipped with analog clock, press the clock adjustment button.
  6. On the LCD screen you should now see “SERVICE IN 15000KM” message on with red backlight. After few seconds display backlight will change to yellow and OK message will appear.
  7. Turn key to 0 position.
Users reported that in Audi A6 C5 at step 2. you need to press and hold left button on the instrument cluster.
