I have a 2006 a6 and I’m unable to eject the navigation dvd or insert one. Is there a way to unlock this without having to go to the dealership?
There’s a features called GPS DVD eject lock. If it’s enabled the EJECT button is not working. This was designed for rental cars. To remove eject lock you can visit your Audi dealer or connect with VCDS, VAG-COM or any other interface designed for Audi and perform the following:
Connect with Navigation Module > Adaptation > Channel 068 > change value from 1 to 0.
Anyone know what BAP or CDEF means? Just curious. In the APK 0x0D menu, you can select BAP or CDEF for all those options (Interior lighting, Exterior light, Wiper, Central locking etc.) BAP is the default
Did you ever find out what they mean?
I had some water in the trunk and my navigation unit was flooded. Gps is not working but other functions in navigation is working. My problem is with discharging battery during two days. I discovered if I disconnect navigation unit from power discharging was stopped. Disconnection navigation unit caused malfunction in all mmi functions (MMI is off). Is it possible to set something to use MMI without navigation?
if you want to use MMI system without one of its components you have to bypass it on the optical loop. When disconnecting fiber optic lines from the navigation unit you opened the information loop.
Hi! I followed your instructions to open the green menus but we are not open.
It is the Audi A4 B8 (2008).
Please help.
Are you sure that you’re pressing buttons in correct order? First SETUP, then CAR?
Are you sure that you have MMI 2G system?

Hello. I have a problem I wonder if you could help me solving. After having updating my mmi2g I can’t change the adaptive air suspension any longer. It is stuck in “lift” and when trying to change into some other option it goes back into lift again. It seems like the other options are’nt highlighted or selectable. If it is any help it’s an a6 2008.
I would be very gratefull if You could help me with telling med what to do. Thanks from Sweden.
Most likely coding was lost during the update. Please enter hidden green menu (or use diagnostic interface) to recode the module according to your optional equipment.
Hello again and thank you for the answer! I have been trying to do what you propose but with no luck. As far as to my knowledge from reading various forums, everything is turned on with in the mmi. But still every option in the air suspension menu is greyed and unselectable. Nor can i change anything when it comes to the jack mode either. I have also tried to re-do the settings and saved and restarted but without any luck.
Is there anything else i can do or is it only a dealer left?
Btw thanks for a very nice website and expertice.

Hello, I had a water flood in the trunk of an audi q7 mmi g2 and the system was damaged. I bought an used mmi amplifier and now I only have Mono sound. Can i fix this with the hidden menu? . I read that this is caused for the component protection
you need to remove the CP at dealers.
Hi, after MMI update to 5570 my DAB radio is muted and/or can’t keep the signal!
Audi A6 2006 with Bose DSP!
Any ideas?
Thanks
Please check with diagnostic interface if Component Protection (CP) is not active.
Hi , I have a 2005 Audi A6 3.0 tdi with mmi it says I need to perform a calibration drive? . Don’t know how to do this any help would be appreciated.
Most likely you have Tire Pressure Monitoring System without sensors inside wheels (TPMS will calculate estimated pressure from the ABS sensor on each wheel). Make sure that you have correct pressure in all 4 wheels, then reset TPMS (you can find it in MMI) and perform a test drive so TPMS can learn how wheels with correct pressure behave.
Hi,
I have the following problems with the my 06/A6:

Hello !
I have upgraded MMI 2g High to 5570. Audi A8 2005 w12 (D3).
Two components are “locked”, one is the DSP system.
I need to access the hidden green menu but I can’t.
Is it possible to access it without software like Rosstech VCDS ?
Do I have to use special software or similar to unlock the DSP system ?
Kind regards
You need diagnostic interface but it doesn’t have to be VCDS from ross-tech. Anything will do as long as it’s capable of changing coding and adaptation values in VAG cars.

Hello!
I came here seeking help and guidance from anyone who knows what up with my car.
I own a Audi A8 4E 2006
So recently i installed a kufatec unit to enhance my MMI features and performances, but during the process of install i realised my mmi head unit doesnt support it (4E0 035 729), as you probably guess i went a head and brought the right version with cables support and such (4E0 035 729A) all went well and running exept for one thing which is when i turn on/off the car the mmi screen doesnt open/close
This only happens with the new mmi unit, when i switch back to the original it opens and close fine.
So what im asking is if theres an option to set it up so the new unit would open and close the screen?
I own a vcds scanner so the codage to enable it is also very appreciated
Thank you for your time!
I just got 2006 Audi A6 and Looks like my parking assistance sensors are not working. No beeping when I back up or get close to objects. Also, there is no visual effect on the mmi. Any help would be much appreciated.
