BMW Z4 X3 reset inspection after changing oil and filters in E83, E85 or E86. You can do it without diagnostic tools, just with a simple button combination.

BMW Z4 X3 reset inspection

1. Put key into ignition.
2. Press and hold trip reset button on the instrument cluster.
3. Turn key into I position and wait for the reset message on the display.
4. Release the button then press and hold it again. Reset will start to blink.
5. Release the button then press it once to confirm the service reset.
6. Turn key to position 0.
