I can’t get this to work on my 2009 A4. I did all the steps and the “background lighting” menu appeared! But the option is grayed out and not selectable. I’ve heard of people needing to enable the ambient lights through VCDS to make this option selectable, but I don’t have it. Anyone know a workaround?
Some cars need a different comfort module to make all features work. If “background lighting” in menu is greyed out, you most likely need this module to be replaced with a different one.
It didn’t work for me neither.. i followed your step and the “Background Lightning” menu appeard but when im turning on it, it just returned to the start position. i tried plenty og times but it wouldn’t hold his position. what to do ?
My car doesn’t have a setup button. 2015 q7 tdi
Hi. I successfully activated the “Backround lighting” on my car but when I try to turn it on it keeps going to start position. It doesn’t accept any other value than 0. FYI it is not greyed out. Any ideas please???
Same problem mine used to work now when i try to use it the dial goes back to 0. Why is this? Now my football lights dont even work anymore
I can access screen with the background lighting like the one in pic top of screen. However when i turn dial to adjust it will automatically reset it self why is that? Also how do i fix it I liked being able to control interior lights. Thank you 1 more thing have you figured out any other tricks, mods, hacks that can be done to 2008 Audi A6 C6. I think mine is pre facelift .
Hi there, having the same issue as Michael’s comments – I have activated “background lighting” menu option and when dialing a difference setting, it doesn’t take effect – upon exist it reverts back to start (0) position. If this requires a different comfort module, is this easily upgradeable to swap out? – Thanks!
Same problem. Any solution to this?
