Volvo fuses location in C30, S40, V50, C70 cars. They are located under the dashboard on the passenger side, second fusebox is under the hood.
Checking for blown fuses is the first diagnostic step when troubleshooting electric and electronic systems issues.

Volvo fuses location – CEM
- Open passengers door.
- Undo two screws above passengers footwell and remove the trim. Some cars have trim clips instead of screws.
- Release the CEM (Central Electronic Module) to access cabin fuses.
Dear mr-fix, the remote of My Volvo v50 2004 is not working sometimes (both remote’s) then I have to open de drivers door with the little key and the alarm sounds! I already replaced the cell batteries but this didn’t solve the problem. There is no error in the system when the Volvo dealer reads the computer. Is there something wrong with the receiver of the remote? This problem occurs several times in a week, mostly early in the morning when it is really cold or on a day when it is really hot outside. Do recognize this problem and to you have a solution?
